Overview
When the owner of Taps and Toilets came to us, his business was running on a homemade logo that no longer reflected the professionalism or personality of his plumbing services. He wanted a fresh, bold identity, something that would stand out in a crowded market and connect with customers instantly.
His vision? A plumbing logo design inspired by the retro charm of a classic neon American diner sign.
Design Features
Bold Typography
Bold, central text was used to emulate the look of classic American diner signage. This choice adds impact and ensures the business name stands out clearly across all branding materials.
Familiar Visuals
We wanted to incorporate familiar visuals for a plumbing business, in this instance we used a tap with a water droplet to represent a leaky tap. This familiar visual reinforces the brand’s relevance and helps customers quickly associate the logo with plumbing services.
Neon Gradient Outline
We applied neon-coloured outlines with gradient transitions to simulate the glow of a lit-up sign. This detail brings energy and vibrancy to the design, perfectly capturing the nostalgic diner theme.
3D Effect
To add depth and visual interest, the tap and droplet were designed to extend beyond the oval border. This subtle 3D effect gives the logo a dynamic, standout quality.
Oval Background
A softly rounded oval shape was added behind the text to mimic vintage signboards. It provides structure to the logo while enhancing the retro aesthetic the client envisioned.
